80 meters nightly at 20:00 ET on or around 3730 Khz
Please join us nightly starting at 20:00 eastern time on the 80 meter band (3730 Khz + or - QRM) for an informal net & roundtable.
The purpose of the group is to promote evening HF operation in eastern Canada. Check-ins are welcome from anywhere in the country (or world for that matter!), and everyone is welcome regardless of age, experience or license class. We even accept check-ins via IRLP on our VE3TST repeater in Ottawa, IRLP node 2210.
The 3730 group & the net were founded by Darrell (VA3RDC) and Mike (VA3MPM) after spending the evenings rag-chewing on 3.730 with other local hams.
The net is open to all topics of discussion, or alternatively if you just want a signal report, or just want to say "Hello" and then move on, that's fine too. We would also welcome some new net controllers! Inquire with us on the air, or contact us if you would like to volunteer.
Note that we may QSY up or down in frequency as required to avoid interference with other nets or QSO's.
Thanks to all for hanging in during the poor band conditions. We have had a week of good conditions........we are keeping our fingers crossed that condition keep up!
Your 3730 controllers...VE3NLH, VA3RDC, KC1MR, VA3MPM
Upcoming events include Boat Anchor week and 2011 Field Day.
Stay tuned for more.

Good bye, Larry. You will be sorely missed by all your friends.

Keep in mind that when the conditions are rough on 80 Meter during the winter months, You can find us with the 1721 ( 1871.00) 160 meter group after 3730 is over. As you well know the two groups collaborate at the Dayton hamvention and at KC8QGJ's , Kring Point NY yearly event. Listen up for "Chardon Tom" and the crew. This is someone who is committed to the hobby!
